The Isle of Skye, Inner Hebrides, Scotland, is now connected to the Scottish Mainland by a Bridge, from Kyle of Lochalsh. There is a full 360 degree breathtaking panorama from the bridge, with views that are hard to beat anywhere...but maybe I am biased a little !! Now somewhat marred by a huge Fish Feed Factory. The Bridge spans the tiny island, "Eilean Ban", which was once the home of Gavin Maxwell, author of "Ring of Bright Water", and many other books. It is now run by the EileanBan Trust, as a wildlife sanctuary. There is a well preserved Stevenson Lighthouse on the island. http://www.eileanban.org/
